Consumption is the purchase and usage of of electricity, fuel and other commodities (like hay or cottonseed).

Consumption activities can go over any length of time from one day to years, with the most likely periods being financial years or quarters.

When you visit the ‘Energy and commodity consumption’ screen you will see three lists which are empty by default:

• Energy consumption
• Fuel consumption
• Commodity consumption

Electricity consumption

To create a new electricity consumption instance, click the ‘add’ button to the right of the ‘n electricity consumption instances’ and add the following details:

• Consumption start date
• Consumption end date
• Electricity source
• Amount consumed in kilowatt hours

Fuel consumption

To create a new fuel consumption instance, click the ‘add’ button to the right of the ‘n fuel consumption instances’ and add the following details:

• Consumption start date
• Consumption end date
• Fuel type
• Amount consumed in litres
