How it works

The Greenhouse Accounting Frameworks (GAF) tools calculate emissions based on a 12 month period, which means that the timeframe of a Greenhouse Gas Emissions Assessment is also 12 months long.

Important: The software looks for enterprises and land management activities whose start and end dates match the assessment timeframe. Any enterprises or land management activities that overlap or don’t fall in the assessment timeframe are not included.

Information from the enterprises and land management activities that are included are then used to calculate emissions.
