A Pasture Crop is pasture that livestock graze on that managed over a 12 month period.

Pasture info

After creating a new Cropping: Pasture crop, you will be shown the ‘Pasture info’ tab. This tab shows a form where you can define the basic information about the crop:

• Whether the pasture is irrigated

Management areas

The ‘Management areas’ tab is where the area under pasture is defined. Currently this is a single input field where the pasture area in hectares can be entered.

In later versions of the software you will be able to use the map to define pasture areas, and the area will be automatically calculated.

Lime and fertiliser

The ‘Lime and fertiliser’ tab is where any lime and fertiliser applications can be logged. On this tab you will see two lists which are empty by default:

• Lime application instances
• Fertiliser application instances

Adding a lime application instance

To create a lime application instance, click on the ‘Add’ button to the right of the list title. You will be taken to a new page with a form where you can add the following details:

• Lime Type
• Amount used per hectare in tonnes

Adding a fertiliser application instance
